TAG was founded in 1998 by Vikas Bhansali as a small unit making ready made clothing for other retailers and wholesalers. Coming from a reputed family involved in the textile business for many decades, he returned from the UK with not just a degree in MBA, but also great ideas.
TAG started of as a dream project to create premium clothing, designed and manufactured for the “9 to 5 man” who looks for aesthetically well-made shirts and trousers to keep them comfortable on the move, every day.

TAG stands by certain principles to deliver only the best quality clothing every single time. The fabric used to make each piece is 100% Egyptian giza or two-ply cotton. We consistently source our material from Arvind Mills, Morarjee, Soktas, and other reputed mills, so that we get only top-notch quality throughout the process.
Once the fabric and design is selected, quality raw materials are procured, like the interlining fabric and threads from Germany. Custom designed buttons made for TAG are also sourced before heading to our state-of-the-art factories in Chennai, Thirunelveli, and Madurai.We employ Italian production processes for supreme quality finishing.
At TAG, we care about the quality of clothing that our customers cherish. All our products go through a standardised 3-stage quality control process – first at the factory, second at the stocking centre, and finally, at the packaging centre before it is shipped to the stores.
TAG has the reputation of introducing “i-pack boxes”, that help stores maximise stacking space while making it easy to organise. We comply with stringent ISO9001 and ISO14001 standards in every step of the way.
Our growth has been tremendous, from manufacturing 900 pieces in the year 2000 to about 2,50,000-3,00,000 pieces a year.
